      Aero-Thermal Engineer Interview

      12 Nov 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cincinnati, OH
      No offer
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Quest Global (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2012

      Interview

I got a phone interview first, not long after speaking with a representative at a career fair. The questions were fairly simple, asking what i was looking for and describing the company and the specific location. A few weeks later i was invited for an in-person interview. First I had to present on an engineering problem that i had tackled. They had me speak with multiple people throughout the office to review my aptitude and ability toward various tasks. Finally, lunch with an experienced and new worker.

      Aero-Thermal Engineer Interview

      30 Oct 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Cincinnati, OH
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Quest Global (Cincinnati, OH) in Jan 2011

      Interview

Had a phone screening and then was brought in for an in-person. Met with the section manager and then gave a presentation. Upper management complained about my contour scale not being in nice increments. I countered with the fact that if you did that then you give a false sense of the results. Doing it his way you are hiding min and max values from the customer. I figured if they would complain about something so mundane then this job would be a roller coaster. After that met with other project managers and then was taken out to lunch. The two guys that took out to lunch pretty much had a bull’s eye on me. The majority of my previous work came from GE and one of the guys worked on Pratt projects. He did his best to extract GE technical information. I beat around the bush pretty well. After accepting the position I later found out this engineer said that was introverted because I didn't answer his questions. Well, I am loyal and was not about to spew out technical sensitive information. The other guy that took me out to lunch was French and he turned out to be very difficult to be around and work with. I did accept and it was a major mistake.
