The interview was nice at the beginning I had a nice contact with HR very pleasant conversation.
Round 2 was also a nice Skype call with a senior developer and an agile coach they know what they are looking for and the interview was very professional.
Round 3 now it's starting to go downhill I received an assignment it was supposed to be 2 presentations for the Product owner and a technical one where I explain how I can approach refactoring and building a new feature in a legacy system.
I sent an email back to ask if an implementation is required I got a "customized" answer copy-paste of the assignment I had to ask again if a proof of concept is required after a few days they. said YES WE NEED ONE. Okay, they need one but they didn't specify it in the assignment no problem I spend the weekend working on it. I emailed back on Monday to ask for the developer who is going to do code review for his git account so I can share the repo answer was we don't need it you can just present the solution...
Okay the day of the presentation it was by far the worst experience I have ever had it was via zoom they showed up late and no one really cared I felt like they were upset to be there and that someone was forcing them to assist I can tell by there faces 0 emotions, not even a smile or anything no one said anything after the demo/presentation I spend like 45 mn talking I asked if they had questions they said "NO" I had to explicitly ask if it was clear and If they had questions multiple times! wish was unacceptable I spend time and energy on it the least they can do is to give me proper feedback
Overall it was a waste of time it feels like it's a company with very stubborn people that don't want to change anything if you have an Idea or if you think a bit differently they will shoot you down.
After a few days, they rejected me because I wasn't energetic It's normal I was facing people that didn't care about my work and they didn't like the technologies that I used k8s is not modern and good enough for them and they don't want to use main stream technologies...
