As a vendor they reached out for a (possible conversion) role with a client. The HR setup a time and we chatted.
As I had highly relevant experience, they quickly moved me to the 1st Screen and then a 2nd Screen.
2 Days after the 2nd Screen I was told, the interview(s) went well and we will let you know the next steps ASAP.
Well the ASAP never came and after following up I (a highly experienced candidate) was told by frustrated recruiter - "you need to wait your interview weren't that fantabulous". So I waited & waited. Then was told, client has now opened up the role (just to complete a cycle) to other vendors, and we will let you know ASAP. Again, the ASAP never came and they completely ghosted me. Only to one day respond to a follow-up to say, we can understand the frustration and (again) will let you know ASAP.
This experience with the company had made me realize they are either not aware of what kind of brand impression this behavior leaves OR simply don't know how to recruit (highly tenured / experienced) people.
