Interview process included a phone screen with a recruiter, phone screen with the hiring manager, and a full day on-site interview with a presentation and 6 individual interviews. It was all pretty standard and as expected, UNTIL after the interview. The interview happened right before the holidays, which caused a delay in gathering interview feedback (this took 4 weeks total). I was also told that the headcount was in limbo during this time, as they were going through 2020 planning. Once all feedback was gathered and the headcount was available, my information was sent to a hiring committee. The hiring committee was supposed to return a decision within a few days, but after 4 weeks the recruiter still had no decision. I got an email every week updating me that they were waiting on the hiring committee and there was no feedback yet, the executives were traveling which was causing delay, etc. Ultimately, after a total of 3 months from start to finish, I was told that the role was put on hold and there would be no offer.
Overall, this was one of the strangest interview processes I've ever been a part of, even surpassing my time interviewing with the CIA a decade ago. The recruiter was nice and kept me up to date throughout, so I don't blame that department. I never felt like it was an entirely transparent process though and I remain confused by all of it. I work at a FAANG company and needless to say, I will not recommend Qualtrics to anyone I know.
