I would like to share some feedback, While I am grateful for the opportunity to interview, there were several areas of concern that merit attention to improve the candidate experience.
The process leading up to the first-round interview was less than ideal. From the start, communication lacked professionalism and structure. Basic etiquette, such as clear and timely updates, was missing. This left me feeling uncertain about the process. When interacting with candidates for the first time, setting a positive and professional tone is crucial, but unfortunately, this was not the case.
Coming to the first-round interview, the issues became more pronounced. The interview started late, and I was kept waiting for approximately 10 minutes without any acknowledgment or apology. Once the interview began, there were frequent distractions, including interruptions from her phone and unprofessional gestures like turning off the camera and detaching her headphones mid-interview without any explanation. These actions disrupted the flow of the conversation and affected my ability to present myself confidently.
A minor background noise on my end was met with a visibly negative reaction, which felt unnecessarily harsh. It was disheartening to witness such a lack of understanding for something that could have been excused with empathy. Her demeanor and communication style, including her tone and expressions, came across as overly rigid and unapproachable, which added to my discomfort.
This feedback is not based on the outcome of the interview but rather on the process and the conduct throughout. A respectful and professional approach is essential.
The way the interview concluded left me questioning whether I would feel comfortable working with her within the same organization. Notably, the role remains unfilled even after months, as I continue to see notifications for the same position. This raises concerns about how such behavior might be affecting the hiring process.
I hope this feedback can be taken constructively to support her development and ensure a more positive experience for future candidates. A structured, empathetic, and professional hiring process reflects positively on the organization and helps attract and retain top talent.
