      I interviewed at Qualcomm

      Interview

Had 6 interviews that felt like they went really well. The employees hinted that I got the job. I never heard back after the 6th and final interview even after several follow up emails. They didn’t even tell me I didn’t get the job just never heard back.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Qualcomm

      Interview

I'm going to provide as much detail as possible so that everyone can understand how poor Qualcomm is in recruiting, hiring, and how they treat people with so low dignity. I applied to Qualcomm back in September as it has been a company that I have been targeting since I graduated college. My first interview was in December. Although the process was slow, I didn't think anything of it at that point in time as it just was an application that I sent out and didn't invest too much in. If I got the job, that's fine, and if not, that's fine as well. Then, after the December interview, I was ghosted for two whole months until out of nowhere, I got a call for a second interview. This was a surprise as I didn't think I got the job, however, I was disappointed as every time I would follow up, I would be ghosted and I would hear no communication. This is only the beginning of being treated like garbage. After the second interview (which I believed went quite well) yet again, I was ghosted for a whole two months no matter what sort of follow up I gave, showing that Qualcomm has a clear lack of empathy or care for prospective employees. After the two months of being ghosted, out of nowhere, they reached out asking me to reapply under a title which was lesser than the title that I interviewed for. Same job, same responsibilities, 20k less pay. I didn't make too much of it as I was shooting high in the initial application, but I now see that this was yet another reason why Qualcomm doesn't care for prospective employees. After I applied to the position, I yet again was ghosted. This process has lasted 8 months at this point in time. After a few phone calls, multiple emails asking why this process was taking so long, I finally got my rejection email. I don't know where the bottleneck is, but I have to be honest in stating that I truly did like Qualcomm as a company, but now, after seeing how they treat prospective employees, it indeed makes me sick. All of the work, worry, preparation, time, concern, research, follow up, and hope that I had to work at a company that I truly loved since I got my first phone with a Qualcomm product inside of it, all was wasted and thrown away. I'm not writing this out of personal spite for the company, not out of discontent that I didn't get the position, but instead, I'm writing this because of how much I was wanting to know that Qualcomm would have regard for people, but unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case.
