The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Sept 2009
Interview
I had an initial phone interview with the hiring manager. Once I passed the phone screening, I had an on-site interview with most of the staff members in a panel format. I had an offer within a week from the on-site interview. Very impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
First I got a call from HR asking if I was still interested in the position. About a week after that I received a phone call from one of the hiring team's members. That call lasted about 45 minutes or so. About three weeks later I received a call from the same HR person, asking for a date that I could come in for an on-site interview. I was then scheduled for 3 on-site interviews within the same day. I first met with the group's manager and talked for about an hour. I then traveled to another building and talked with one of the lead Engineers that I would be supporting and talked with her for another hour. After that, I met with the team that I would be joinging and had an hour-long interview with them.
