I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Pwnie Express (Boston, MA) in Oct 2013
Interview
I applied via their website. After not hearing anything in a week or so I followed up and heard back from a temporary recruiter. This process was really awkward because it felt as if we were just chatting. Then I had a phone interview with the former CEO now CTO - after they received funding. That was the most organized interview out of the four and it went really well. Then I had two in person interviews with one of their newly hired sales engineers and their new CEO. These went very well and they said they wanted me to speak with the VP of sales once he was hired and then they would have an answer. I asked and was told I was the last of a few candidates out of 100. Two weeks go by and I follow up. After about a month and a half in to the interview process they said they're using an internal candidate for the next 6 months. Very small company, very informal interview process. I liked that to a degree but felt as if they could have asked more tough questions. I asked a number of questions about their sales strategy and felt that they had a very narrow view of their market. I think they have great sales engineers and management and vision but it feel as if they're lacking in strategy.
