I interviewed at Purdue University (Indianapolis, IN)
Interview
Easy and technical interview. Need to be good with data analysis. The interviewer asked me about my past experience as a research assistant and also about my expertise with R studio, Tableau and Python. The job involves real research work.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) in Aug 2021
Interview
No interview, just a meeting with the professor who manages the undergraduate research program. I chose 3-4 professors and then got selected for zebrafish research. This was my top choice, and I have no regrets. Other professors suggested mice or frog research, which I didn't have the heart to do.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you okay with animal testing.
Tell me about yourself and why you want to do research.
What behaviors are exemplifying a responsible and ethical researcher.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) in Jan 2020
Interview
It was just a video call over zoom with some questions. Fairly casual but it will likely depend on the professor and department. Be prepared for the usual and typical questions that you might see in a normal interview as well just so the professor can get to know you a bit better.
