You just apply online using a portal. the result typicall will come out right before the next semester. If you know the Professor or sent an email to him there's a better chance of gettign in.
There was no interview process. Application consisted of answering a couple written questions, as well as fulfilling the requirement of having done well in the class. It was a very easy process.

Interviewed for AAE teaching assistance position. Required preparation of a homework problem of choice to discuss teaching for 10 minutes, followed by standard availability questions regarding course load and commitments in following semesters.

Very laid back, just had a conversation with the professor to go over course basics and material. Began with asking why I am interested in position, go over course material and format, then go to how we can improve the course.
