I was very disappointed by PSC's recruitment process. The first step was a phone screen with an external recruiter, which was scheduled via text. After confirming my availability, I did not receive any further communication or confirmation. I followed up before the scheduled interview but received no response. The interview ultimately did not occur at the agreed-upon time, and I was later contacted and told there had been a scheduling oversight, and we completed the interview at that later time.
I was subsequently invited to a second interview, which was much smoother and more professional. The questions were almost entirely behavioral and did not meaningfully explore my prior experience, technical background, or interest in the field and the role. At the conclusion I was told I would hear back the following week regarding next steps.
Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Several months have now passed, and despite reaching out multiple times to different contacts for an update, I have not received a response.
I did not necessarily expect to be selected for the role, but I believe candidates deserve closure, particularly after completing multiple interviews. A brief rejection email or status update would have been appreciated.
This experience was especially disappointing because I was genuinely interested in both the company and the work they do. The lack of communication left a negative impression and diminished what had initially been a very positive view of the organization.

Question 1
"Describe a situation where you faced an unexpected roadblock or a project dramatically shifted direction. How did you handle it?"
They hired a consultant to phone screen for the position. She was very quick and didn't leave any time to ask questions at the end (although, I'm not sure if she would be able to answer them anyway since she doesn't work there.) It all seemed a little odd and impersonal. She mentioned requirements that weren't in the original job description, so I don't think the position would work for me anyway, unfortunately. Haven't heard from them in a few weeks and have since accepted a position elsewhere.
