I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ProtoCafe (Longmont, CO) in Sept 2021
Interview
Very easy since I knew all the processes. I spoke with 3 of them. I was offered a job. I was going to pay for my own move unfortunately. I asked about medical and dental benefits since at some companies its $500 to $700 a month. Protocafe couldn't answer this question after my asking several times. Rather than do what any responsible company would do and find the answer themselves and get back to me I was dumped off on someone else. I called and left a voicemail message and this person never called back. I never heard from the HR dept with the onboarding information. I figured if they were that irresponsible why am I going to move from another state for people who can't do ordinary things for someone they extended a job to? When Protocafe got back to me 3 weeks later I told them I never heard from their HR dept nor any reply to my health insurance question. They told me I was "aggressive" and "unprofessional" for pointing out their lack action as well as how many times I asked with no answer from them. They basically said I was a liar about leaving the message regarding health insurance questions. They retracted their job offer and I told them that was fine since I already moved on 5 days after no contact from their HR dept and not getting a reply about their medical insurance...assuming there is any insurance that isn't overpriced.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ProtoCafe (Redwood City, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Interviewed with Matt. Real great guy. Super nice and very knowledgeable on their mission and their products. Low pressure, felt comfortable. There were no left field questions, just plain and simple asking of my knowledge and what they are looking for.
