I applied through a LinkedIn and got a call from recruiter . The first round was with the director products . He asked me lot of questions regarding my current product and projects I have done . Next he gave a case , which was a detailed case in itself and required some thought before answering . The case was actually not meant to be asked in an interview setting . Told me to do a small design exercise and get back by EOD . Second round was with a principal product manager . He grilled again on projects and one case and one puzzle . Was not able to solve the puzzle in one go . Overall a neutral experience . HR said they liked the data and projects I have done but did not like my overall interview in design and UI part .

The recruiter called me 20 minutes after the appointed time, and did not apologise for the delay. He informed me that the hiring manager wanted to have a chat with me after seeing my CV, told me about the role, and asked for my availability for an interview the following week, which I provided, and we agreed on a time and date. I was not asked questions about my CV at all. Two days before the interview, I had not received a calendar invite, so I followed up with the recruiter. He said he would send me an update soon. The day before the interview, I followed up again and he informed they had decided not to proceed as he had reviewed my CV and screening notes and decided they needed someone with more experience. He had no screening notes because he didn't ask me a single question except my interview availability, and I imagine he reviewed my CV before calling me to arrange for an interview. What an outright LIAR.
