They gave a tour of the manufacturing floor and office, explained the machines and the work they do. Followed by two interviews, one with the chief engineer and another with the two project engineers
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Progressive Surface (Kentwood, MI) in Jun 2015
Interview
The interview process was fairly simple. I was contacted after applying for the job on Monster (I believe). I scheduled a phone interview. Phone interview came. The interviewer was accompanied by another employee who had information on the benefits of working for them. The questions were centered around my resume and about how I felt about certain specific aspects of the job position I was applying for. They both did a great job of providing a relaxed, informal but still professional atmosphere. I was told that it would probably be 2 weeks until I heard back from them (either in the affirmative or the negative) about being flown up to Michigan for a face to face interview along with a walk through of the machines that I would be working with. In four days I was contacted by their HR manager and had a face to face scheduled. So the ending of this interview is TBD! Wish me luck!
