I met with the Director and the conversation was extremely positive. They said I was a “perfect fit” and they were looking forward to progressing me to the next round. They also asked me to add them on LinkedIn so we could chat further about the role if needed. A week later, I receive an auto reject email from the recruiter and I had to chase for feedback which I never received as two weeks later they posted on LinkedIn they left the role. I messaged the hiring manager, just to try and understand what happened and they didn’t respond either. I think it says a lot about the business, how they treat their candidates. Fine I wasn’t progressed, though contradictory, but have the decency to explain why and give constructive feedback.
