I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Primark (Leeds, England) in Oct 2012
Interview
Easy interview, very relaxed and friendly interviewer. I was very nervous as this was my first interview and the store is massive . Asked questions such as "Why do you want to work for Primark ?" give me an example of when you have used your initiative or worked as part of a team " I talked about my work experience even though this was in a school , gave examples such as when I had helped the teacher and other members of staff.
It was about three weeks before I heard anything although they did say at interview they had over one hundred people to interview and feedback to. I did not receive any specific feed back but got the job. Quite short notice though received email on the Thursday and was asked to attend induction the next day ! so had to rush out and buy myself a uniform. Also had to complete an on-line safety test and pass it before I could attend induction. Top tip make notes throughout this as there is an exam at the end. I think you had to get over fourteen correct to pass. It took around an hour and a half to complete. Then a four hour induction in store which again was health and safety extremely boring as it was just going back over what was said on-line.
Given a very useful handbook at induction, name badge and codes for doors , tills etc. Started work the following day it was ok. Everyone very friendly and supervisor really supportive. Quite nerve racking on the tills but you pick it up fairly quickly . Worked two weekends there now and I feel I've settled in really well. Salary for 16 yrs is £4.00 per hour but plenty of overtime available.

Question 1
Who are PrimaRK'S competitors ?
Why do you want to work at Primark ?
I was invited to have an interview with a hiring manager. It was a short conversation (probably approximately 20 minutes), and I was asked only few questions. The interviewer focused especially on team-work.
face to face interview and it takes arround 15- 20 minutes. its quite easy one and they will ask about questions regarding your educational background, employment history and skills that you have to work in the position.
The interview process was thorough and well designed. The was a group interview and an individual interview which tested a range of skills, but was carried out in an inclusive and comfortable environment.
