      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Precision Avenue (Nashville, TN) in Aug 2017

      Interview

I applied for an "Event Planning" role. Their events are actually selling products out of Costco's and Sams Clubs. Its a "road show company". You have to sell a certain amount before you can move into a management role.

      Event Coordinator Interview

      21 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Precision Avenue (Nashville, TN) in Apr 2018

      Interview

I had three interviews. For the first one they bring you in for a preliminary interview where the interviewer asks you a couple basic questions, then she describes the job. She does try to make the fact that they sell stuff out of booths at retailer more exciting than it really is. I then was pushed through to a second interview within an hour and this interview was on site at a Sams Club where they had a booth set up. Here the hiring manager did a further interview and then had me watch her try to sell items and write down different things I noticed during the process. I made it to the final round which was really just going over some of the same questions as in the other interviews, just worded differently. On this interview I was offered the position. I did not accept as the position was low pay and mostly commission based so it wasn't right for me.

What's the one thing about you that you've never mentioned in another interview that would make us want to hire you over someone else?

      Event Coordinator Interview

      12 Sept 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Precision Avenue (Nashville, TN) in Sept 2017

      Interview

The hiring and interview process is VERY quick. I was given a call within a day of application, then rushed into an interview process. The girls at PA are very smart. This means that they know how to hook you. "Monday is my earliest availability." "Oh, can't make it Monday? We'll give you a call and see if there's anything left over." When you walk into their office building, you'll notice that it almost looks hastily built. There are wires peeking from around plants in the lobby, and if you sway even the slightest bit from their path of instructions- the facade breaks immediately. In regards to their office, the first thing you notice is that it's very empty. Some would call it barren. I would, anyways. Once you arrive for your interview, you'll sit in a waiting space- for about an uncomfortable 30 minutes, as each interview seems to stretch on much longer than necessary given they bring you to a "preliminary" preliminary interview. Yes, you read that correctly. Once the interviewer walks into the room, they act almost shocked to see you, as if there should have been a receptionist waiting on you. Once you get into the interview, you're going to be completely bombarded with large brand names, grand hand gestures, and numbers. She's going to throw a series of numbers at you and act like there should be no surprise when she reaches $135k. The first big question you're asked is "Are you more interested in face to face, or behind the scenes?" Even if you say behind the scenes, she tries to set you up to come see one of their events(which turns out is nothing more than a kiosk setup at Sam's). I halted my interview at this point, because I know a shill when I see one, and opted to leave. Immediately all light left the interviewer's eyes. I almost stopped to tell the guy waiting after me just what this place was. In summation, while not a traditional "pyramid scheme", this company falls under the umbrella of Direct Marketing(It Works, Fit Tea, and Young Living). This is a "manager in training" program- a way to entice mid-level young professionals into a false space so that they can fling their bodies at their "events"until they get frustrated and quit- and so begins the process anew. It is a sham at best, and they should be barred from posting "employment" on a career site.
