Submitted my resume online, had a quick phone screen, followed by a 1:1 interview, and then a panel interview. The panel interview ended with me being told I'd hear back from the recruiter to schedule a day and time for me to come in and walk through one of the restaurants with a Market Manager, we'd have lunch, get to know each other a little more, etc. The next day, the recruiter emailed me a template rejection letter. I asked for some clarity because I was confused about the next steps I was told about the day prior (did they change their mind after committing to that meeting? did they email the rejection letter to the wrong person?), and never heard back. If direction changes, I'm fine with that, but it would have been nice to have gotten a response when I simply asked for the clarification.
