was very quick to respond to my application and scheduled a phone interview. the hiring manager said they would be in touch but never got back to me about if I was being considered or not. they ended up hiring a former colleague of mine which is great but they didnt have the decency to let me know that I was no longer being considered. huge turn off for job seekers!
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Portfolium (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was one of the first few employees so there was no real interview process when I interviewed. I did a phone screening then onsite interview with the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My job history, knowledge about the company, why I wanted to work for a seed stage startup.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Portfolium (San Diego, CA) in May 2016
Interview
A series of phone interviews, then a 3 hour in person interview. You have a phone interview with 3 different people at the company and then you also come in for an in person interview, where they tell you about the company and the position a little more and where they get to know you. They ask you a series of standard interview questions. Ultimately, they are feeling you out to see if you will be a good "culture fit" I got a call regarding the interview process within about a week of applying. I did one phone interview that week, then two more the following weeks. When I came onsite to interview I was there for about 3 hours and met with most people on the team including my managers. They are selling you a false idea of what the position and the company really are all about.
