I applied a couple years back for a designer position. I spoke to the founder via email and was never asked for a phone interview, and immediately was asked to do a design test which I found odd. The design test was a very short deadline, less than 24 hour on a weekday, and consisted of several design examples from her prompt. I stayed up late and completed all elements of the design test, sent them and then never heard back. Tried sending a follow up but didn't hear back from that either. I found it very unprofessional and disrespectful to ask someone to create work in such a short timeframe and not even send a simple rejection email. It's a shame also because I was a huge fan of their studio for such a long time.
