I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Point72 (New York, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
I was introduced through a headhunter. The process was swift and took around two weeks. First was a preliminary telephone call with a research analyst, then I had a call with the PM(hiring manager) who was based in Hong Kong. I was invited onsite to talk to a few more team members in NYC. I interviewed with the French team that was hired from Soc Gen, a few years earlier. My overall experience was pretty bad. It was a typical strategy fishing interview, with different interviewers asking about different aspects of my strategies. The interviewers had a very heavy accent, and they were pushy in eliciting strategy details. I didn't get a good in person vibe. After the in person experience I withdrew myself from the process. The HK based PM boasted how he survived a severe draw down right after joining Cubist.
