I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Podean
Interview
The interview process was handled very poorly. I applied for a Copy Manager position, but after my initial conversation with the recruiter, I was told the role had been changed to Senior Manager. I was comfortable with that change and continued through the process.
The hiring process lasted nearly two months and included multiple interviews and an assessment. The interviews were 30 minutes and cut off abruptly due to the managers having meetings scheduled right after the interview. In the end, I wasn't selected for either role, despite being told I was a strong candidate.
What was most frustrating was learning that the offer for the Copy Manager role ultimately went to a colleague of mine with no management experience and whose background isn't in long-form copywriting. She declined the offer for another agency. While I understand companies can choose the candidate they believe is the best fit, the lack of transparency and the shifting expectations throughout the process made the experience feel disorganized and disappointing.

Question 1
How did you handle a team member not performing well?
They conducted four rounds of interviews, and every conversation felt respectful and easy to navigate. The team was kind, approachable, and genuinely curious about my background. Since the position is entry-level, the discussions focused more on fit, communication, and how I approach problem-solving rather than on heavy technical questions
