I am writing to provide highly critical feedback regarding a completely disorganized and unprofessional candidate experience.
First, after my initial interview with the Hiring Manager, the parameters of the role were suddenly shifted. I was told the full-time position was no longer an option and was pressured to pivot and apply for a contract role instead. Despite this frustrating bait-and-switch, I agreed to proceed in good faith.
Second, after completing the full, demanding interview loop and performing exceptionally well, I was ultimately rejected due to an apparent misunderstanding of my visa status. I explicitly stated multiple times from the very beginning that I do not require sponsorship.
Moving the goalposts mid-process and then rejecting a candidate at the final stage over an administrative fact that was clarified upfront indicates a severe lack of internal communication and disrespectful management. This process wasted hours of my time under false pretenses. I will never consider this organization for future opportunities.
I applied online. I interviewed at PlayStation (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Was a good process overall, they were timely with responses and friendly. An initial HR screen followed by 3 rounds total, I think there was a fourth after If I reached that stage. All were panel interviews with various members across the business.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you approach the launch of a new product or system, from ideation to launch
Typically, an interviewer asks around 6–12 core technical questions, plus 3–5 behavioral questions for this role. In system-heavy roles like this, expect deep follow-ups, so total discussion often expands to 15–20 question threads rather than standalone questions.
