I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Platform Science (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2021
Interview
This is probably one of the best interview experiences I have ever had. The team is super friendly, extremely transparent, and very knowledgeable.
I first talked to the recruiter, then the hiring manager then met the team, and finally had a 1-hour work session with the team. The whole process was 4 steps across different days, the whole process would have taken 2 weeks had my schedule been more flexible.
The company seems to value a good mix of cultural fit (friendly, team workers) with technical knowledge/potential.
I got offered a job but had to go in a different direction due to a very strong financial offer elsewhere. The team was super understanding and made the decision tough from the perspective of how nice they were.
10/10 recommend. Keep up this hiring strategy!

Interview
When MULTIPLE interviewers ask you “How would you handle a founder/VP who meddles in low level details?” then you know something is dysfunctional in that environment. Some of the group product managers I interviewed with were not very bright. Had to repeat details of my projects multiple times. Not a good sign, as other people in the same company and elsewhere understood immediately. Their pitch to join was rather weak too. They should have had more passion, urgency, and desire. But their enthusiasm was tepid.
