A month after I applied, I got an email from Pixar on a Friday evening. We scheduled a 30 minute phone interview for the upcoming Monday. The recruiter was very kind. I didn't hear back from Pixar for another month, when I received the generic email that they send every year, stating that they are moving forward with other candidates. (sidenote: this email is written in such nice language that people often do not realize that it is a rejection the first time they read it.)
