I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pilot.com, Inc. in May 2025

The interview is standard and starts with a phone screen. The process includes coding challenges, educational background, questions about past projects, and software fundamentals. The interview spans multiple rounds over several weeks.

Question 1
Standard questions about past projects and software fundamentals.
Hiring manager round is typical talking about your background
Then they send you an online assessment. It is three parts, first two are basically essay answers for a debugging session. It's not too difficult if you have experience, but despite being an "open ended question" they are clearly looking for some specific items.
Last part is basically a "practical" leetcode question through Woven. Nothing difficult, but kinda tedious especially with the time constraint. I got mine to pass and added a few of my own tests.
Automated reject.
Honestly whats the point of having all these "streamlined" assessments if it's just gonna be as cold as talking to a robot.
