      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PicassoMD in Aug 2023

      Interview

I felt compelled to leave this review because every other one was negative and I had a really positive experience. Anyone should be honored to work with them, truly. The product has great potential. The team cares about the work and is smart and communicative. Steps: 1. 30 minute call with team member 2. 30 minute call with who you would directly report to 3. Assessment and project 4. 45 minute call with CEO and CTO There were no trick questions throughout the interview process. Just great "get to know each other" calls. I hate doing projects for applications BUT this one had a lot of creative freedom where it did not have to be about PicassoMD. I charge $350/hour for my consulting work so I appreciated I could turn in the work without them "running away" with my ideas for free because I did the project about something they could not adjust for their product. Two days after the final interview, I received a personal note from the direct report saying they hired someone with more healthcare marketing experience. Totally understandable. Wish I had known ahead of time how important that was. Am I bummed I did not get the role? Absolutely. But, again I want future people applying to this team to know I really believe this would be a great place to work.

      Interview

I was cold recruited from a higher up so I applied because the product seemed promising. I went through the 1st round interview with a mid management person. They were polite, friendly, had actually read my resume beforehand, and didn't ask too many questions. I was told in that interview next step was with another person who I believe is the equivalent of a step higher up but in a different department. 1st interview was 30 minutes. Interview round 2 was fine. The interviewer was polite, asked a couple of more detailed questions focusing on how I process and execute things. Overall was casual and easy going interview that lasted 30 minutes. Following round 2 was a critical thinking logic quiz. It asked a bunch of trick questions and was utterly pointless in assessing any quality that would matter in any candidate. Paired with this was a project to demonstrate ability, capability, and how you strategize on something directly pertinent to the role. This project had 2 parts and to be done well takes an extraordinary amount of time. All the same I passed with flying colors on this part and made it to the next round. Into round 3, a 45 minute interview with 2 of the 3 founders. One was very friendly the other clearly not. I was asked questions about my background, my project, and my ambitions. The interview wrapped on on time and seemed positive. The next day I received an email written by the interviewer of round 2 with round 1 interviewer included telling me I had been rejected because another candidate had more "healthcare marketing experience" than I did. So after an unbelievable amount of time consuming work for an interview process, I lost out due to something that could have been determined by simply reading our resumes at the beginning, or if they had bothered asking questions more tactically specific and granular in the healthcare marketing space since that was so important.

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PicassoMD

      Interview

Applied and interviewed for a role I was overqualified for. After the first round, I was asked to do a challenge and a cognitive test. - The cognitive test was on a janky website that looked like it was from the early 2000s. It was a very confusing, timed test on a website that had terrible UX. - The challenge was a task that I was told would take 1-2 hours but really was more like 3-4 hours worth of work. Never have I been given a challenge this early in the interview process. Typically challenges come when there are only a couple of candidates remaining. - I was not given the chance to present my challenge or answer questions about it. I sent it in and that was it. - For the amount of work this challenge was, the company should be paying you for your work. Even though the work was not directly for PicassoMD, the tactics used could easily be taken by the company to implement. Also, as someone on the hunt for a new job, this is a significant amount of time to be spent on a project that may or may not be a complete waste of my time depending on if I’m offered the job or not. After sending in my challenge, I was sent a templated rejection email about a week later. I asked for feedback and was ignored. I was interviewing for an associate level role even though I have worked at a manger level previously so this seemed pretty fishy.
