I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Photogenic (Saint Louis, MO) in Jun 2025
Interview
Group interview. More of an orientation, the interviewer is simply describing the job for 85% of the interview. Everyone is asked 4-ish questions. Only a very basic screening, you can get the job if you have at least okay communication skills and no (or a very small) criminal record.
Information provided in the interview is somewhat misleading, however. You are promised 2 weeks notice for your schedule, but you often get your schedule less than 12 hours before you’re expected to work. They ask for your availability and say that there will be another chance to provide it, but they actually only use the availability you provide during the interview. You cannot change your availability within your first 30 days. Additionally, at the St Louis Arch, photographers are by themselves without line flow to help them.
Typically group interviews but it was just me. The interview was easygoing, and all my questions were answered. I was given a thorough description of the job and all that is required.

Interview
This interview was conducted via a Zoom call. A very friendly interviewer who allowed me to ask many questions. The conversation was informal yet professional. I would highly recommend this company.
