A recruiting company introduced me to this role. The recruiting company set up an interview for me with Philips and they sat in on the interview. I interviewed with a manager and two other team members from Philips. The manager did a fine job in describing the position but gave feedback that I was too "chatty". After my interview, I received a call in about 20 minutes and discovered they didn't want to hire me because I was too focused on the following:
1- What hours can I expect to work?
2- What does a typical day look like?
It is important to note, the interview took an hour and we spent 99% of the time discussing technical processes and my background. Since management felt I was too "chatty" about my history and profile, I would advice management to better structure their interviews to be more technical and have their senior developer paying attention and not working on their laptop during the interview (which I found to be extremely rude).
