Initial application sent online with CV and Cover letter.
First interview with senior leadership, followed by a coding challenge, and then a technical interview.
In First interview questions were around previous experience and CV, as well as salary expectations etc. Applicants often find it more transparent when a salary budget is given, which they did not, so know your value and check average london salaries.
Second interview, questions were related to the coding challenge, and then a new challenge was introduced, which one pseudocodes.
Overall, I don't completely agree with other interview experiences with Phantom. The team came across polite and to the point, evidently quite a busy working environment, lovely office.
Pros :
Straight forward, friendly, and common style of interviewing so predictable enough to practice for.
Also seems like a good company to work for if one is creative.
Coding challenge was relatively straightfoward to complete compared to other companies that demand a significant amount of one's precious time.
Cons :
No salary budget given by the company on application leaves applicants open to lowballing themselves or asking for far too much and missing out on a good role. Comes across as less open / honest.
Tips :
Practice your Javascript fundamentals along with hackerank/codewars style tests, and make sure you're actually a creative individual and can show it.
