      Supervisor Interview

      1 Oct 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Pfizer (Austin, TX) in Sept 2016

      Interview

Applied online, received an e-mail invitation for a phone interview about a month later. Phone interview was conducted with multiple people, and the interviewers were actually quite condescending and borderline rude. I received snarky comments about my past positions and the skills listed on my resume. At one point, the interviewers asked the same question four times. It was a very straightforward question with a straightforward answer - no ambiguity involved. For some reason they felt the need to just keep asking it. Surprisingly, I was invited for an in person interview to occur a couple weeks later. Interviewers continued to be highly condescending in person, and gave me the impression that there was a bit of a toxic environment. The senior manager gave directly conflicting answers to that of the middle manager when I asked questions, and it was clear that there is a serious communication issue. I don't mean small issues either, I mean that there was a completely different vision about how to run the company between the tiers of management. The condescending tone was so bad that I tried to walk out of the interview. I was very happy to click the "withdraw" button on my application as soon as I got home.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Technical questions, behavioral questions, and a whole lot of them asking me to ask them more questions. Apparently asking about 7 or 8 questions per interviewer isn't enough.
