I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Personal Level Fitness in Jul 2016
Interview
Interview was a one step process. They asked a lot of questions about my training believes and nutrition guidelines. I was asked to demo 3 or 4 different exercises. They were very honest about the typical day and the pay. Hourly + additional pay to train + bonuses. I liked the fact that the clients get individual programs and the trainer is paid to write them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked several questions about nutrition. Ex What are your top 5 guide lines for nutrition? What is your favorite tip you would give a client?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Personal Level Fitness (Columbus, OH) in Oct 2017
Interview
In person interview at gym location
May be a good entry level position but pay is very low $10 per hour + $5 per training session. The low pay makes sense though because it seems like they want a robot to plug exercises into their template instead of allowing trainers to create personalized workout programs for each client. All clients with a few exceptions are on the same workout program and trainers share clients- terrible set up in my experience.
