Initial email and interview, then interview with the department.
I enjoyed everyone I spoke with during the interviewing process. The questions focused on general marketing, prior experience and structure. The discussion also touched on religion given the university mission, personal interests and family. While my goal is always to build connections and be personable, I would in the future refuse to address those topics as they can lead to bias in hiring decisions. Plus they aren't related to job functions or selecting the best candidate to move forward. There was not any HR involvement in this interview process.
