I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paytm in Sept 2021
Interview
I reached out to a recruiter via a LinkedIn post. The next day I got a response, and a test link. The test was medium level. The very next day got a call from the recruiter for the interviews. There happened two rounds of interviews.
The most shocking thing was, there was no hiring manager round. Three days after I got a call that I am shortlisted and the recruiter asked me for my documents. I shared with her all the documents. She ensured me that I will get the offer letter by the same week.
It's now going to be more than 45 days, that I have not received any offer letter from them. The recruiter keeps on saying that her role is changed and she is overloaded. And she kept on ensuring me that I will receive it shortly.
She even mentioned later that someone else is handling the integrations of the offer letter rollout. But there was no written communication. I only had a verbal confirmation, that she is processing for the offer letter. I have contacted the other person too, but he did not pick up my calls, nor did he reply to any of my mails. And she never kept any other person in the mail communication also when she asked me to share my documents.
I am very disappointed with the management. Even they want to keep someone on hold, just tell them. Don't keep them in the shadow.
Experiences like this only, defame the companies.
Not expected from Paytm.
Good and nice as interview was smooth and up to the mark for the role demand. It could be a bit difficult if you are not into the concept and implementation to a good level. DSA is not the asked for the role they look actual problem solver.
I applied online. I interviewed at Paytm (Noida) in Feb 2026
Interview
3 round
2 technical round- basically on dsa and core cs subject so focus on dsa skills
1 hr round
After that if you clear all the round then you join the paytm
Interview process had three rounds, all focused on DSA with medium difficulty. First was an online coding round on HackerRank, testing data structures and algorithms knowledge.
This was followed by two technical rounds where I solved coding problems on Google Docs.
