Paylocity Director, Software Engineering interview questions

A long drawn out process, they reached out to me and then during the interview asked me why I was looking to switch. They were very communicative initially, but post interview there was radio silence. After about 6 weeks I received a generic email telling me I wasn’t selected. Well no surprise, I figured it was the case when they went incommunicado. That left a bad taste in my mouth, I am a professional, I can accept a rejection. I wish they just responded saying they preferred the other candidate over me.
