The interview was conducted by the owner of the company who presented himself as a professional and reputable business manager. The goal of the interview was to uncover the personality of the candidate, not very specific in terms of construction knowledge. Unfortunately, despite having a smooth and promising hour-long conversation, this ended up being a typical "we will get in touch with you, we need to see more candidates" type of scenario. Keep in mind that despite being a family owned company the candidates are being picked by an outsourced HR who is "actively involved" into the process. I was completely ghosted after the interview with three attempts to get in touch with the company (thank you letter, update request email, update request text message). Despite the fact that this position might be a nice opportunity for someone without any experience in outside sales, if you know how it's done and you know that it's your "thing" - don't waste your time.
