I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paycom (Dallas-Fort Worth) in Mar 2025
Interview
The recruiter was extremely friendly and kept me up to date with everything.
I had prepared for my technical interview with Person A, but due to last minute changes, was unable to make it, so I had to take my interview with Person B - That was my downfall. I had heard Person A was extremely friendly and was not too picky on the 30 minute time limit. However, Person B, was quite the opposite - More or less a stickler. She kept interrupting me WHILE I was answering questions, and would have me cut my STAR method answers short due to "time limit constraints". Furthermore, during the technical aspects, she would question every single line of code and, again, interrupt my explanation process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Paycom
Interview
Everything was fine. But during the tech part of the interview, I noticed the interviewer was very talkative. So I asked ahead of time if I could have 2 minutes to read and process the question before he offered any guidance. He only gave me about 20 seconds and kept interrupting my train of thought. It felt like a boss was standing over my shoulder talking the whole time. I got turned off by that. I let the time run out and ended the interview. Personally, would not apply again but others might not have the same experience.

It was okay. In my case, the interviewer did not seem friendly at all and was hardly interacting. Even though I explained my entire thought process, he seemed to be distracted by other things lol.
