I was invited in to interview for a manager position a few years ago. I was interviewed, thinking that it was for the manager position. I then was told to go into the outdoor dog park area to an undisclosed amount of time to interact with the dogs. After I was with the dogs for an hour, I asked a random employee what was next. They brought me inside, asked my salary expectations, and when I told them, they revealed to me that they had already filled the manager position and I was being interviewed for a dog attendant position. I have over 5 years of professional experience and I was being interviewed for a minimum wage job that high schoolers/early college students have. At no point prior were they transparent about what I was actually interviewing for. I was made to be a fool. It was a waste of my time and embarrassing.
