I was recommended for a teaching position by a colleague, submitted my CV, and was subsequently called in for an interview. At the "interview," I was offered a position and a standard remuneration package. It seemed like they had already decided they wanted me before I got there.

Interview
applied through online portal and was contacted 5 months later by heads of departments. relatively simple interview online, more like a conversation. Department and interviewer wanted to give me an offer, but after contracting HR, unfortunately they only hire US citizens, green card holders or O-1 visas. I wish that was explained more clearly in job postings, as it was unclear where other categories were eligible.
