Interview
I met with an administrator one on one. I was given a tour of the campus and met other faculty. I taught a class and was observed by several members of the hiring committee. I then met with the whole committee.

Interview
PDS is a one stop interview process. They have you come in late morning, teach a 45-minute lesson, send the kids to lunch, and you a group interview with 4-5 teachers and administrators. The vibe is casual and friendly. They ask you about the lesson you just taught––what you thought went well, what you thought you could do better, your educational and pedagogical philosophies, and why you want to work at a progressive school. The great thing is that they aren't shy about giving you positive recognition for the things you do well in your lesson and the things you say in the interview that resonate with their principles. In other words, they know how to be professional and friendly simultaneously. I was called back within a week with a job offer. If you're a good fit for the job, they are very quick to make it happen.

Question 1
I don't recall any difficult questions. They liked me lesson plan, and asked me to elaborate on its strengths and areas for improvement, and encouraged me to be honest with my self-assessment.
