I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Papaya Global (Herzliya)
Interview
This is the phases that I had in papaya global
1.HR screening
2. Hiring manager the product team lead
3.VP Product
4.home assignment and present at company in English
I didn’t pass the home assignment
First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. After that, I had a Zoom call with the hiring manager, who asked to hear about my experience and past projects. Then, there was an in-person interview with the hiring manager, which included tough questions in programming, concepts, and logic. It was much harder than I expected based on how it was described beforehand. Unfortunately, I didn't pass this stage.

Unethical and Disorganised Hiring Process
This was one of the more disorganised interview processes I’ve experienced. What started as a promising process quickly became drawn out, inconsistent, and poorly coordinated, with repeated delays, rescheduling, and very little clarity on next steps. Over several months, I moved through multiple conversations and even provided references, only for the role to remain under internal review with no decision. The recruiters were polite, but politeness does not compensate for a lack of ownership or momentum. It felt as though the company was interviewing candidates without having the internal alignment, headcount certainty, or urgency to actually hire. Overall, the process reflected poor planning, weak communication, and a lack of respect for candidate time.
