      Marketing Interview

      1 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks in Jan 2018

      Interview

Job Qualifications were very soft-skills based but interview was technical, especially for a marketing interview. It was less generic business internship type questions and more questions about specific marketing and social media strategy for their cybersecurity company.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Ciudad de Mexico) in Jul 2022

      Interview

The process was very long, and a waste of my time. The first 2 interviews with HR happened about three months before a follow up (maybe the position froze or they got someone who didn’t stick, I’d put money on the second option considering my experience with the third interview and since they offered no explanation for the lengthy process). My second interviewer/ third interview was underwhelming and disappointing with a distracted interviewer and just the kind of manager I can see myself quiting a job over, HR took over for feedback that implied I was a good fit for a lower position but there was nothing available at that level (mind I was already interviewing for a position bellow my current level that interested me because of the remote work/benefits package etc, so I was willing to take the step down as long as my pay could match what I currently make) I’m only thankful that I’m not unemployed and in need of the opportunity, a shame since it seems like a good company.

      Marketing Interview

      16 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Clara, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Santa Clara, CA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Note: I applied as a contractor, so maybe their normal process is different. I did a couple phone interviews, then they had me come in. I talked to a few people, and they all seemed very friendly. At the end, the main guy said they were ready to hire me, and to expect an offer. After that, I didn't hear anything for a while, so I called him. He said he was busy, and that I should sit tight, they had to rearrange some budget, blah, blah, blah. I waited a few more days, and called again. He got really upset that I had called him, said he was a busy guy, didn't have time for this call, and that he'd reach out when the situation changed. I never heard from them again.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Generic questions: "tell me about your background," "biggest weakness," etc.
