Interview
I've had a good time talking to two interviewers and was able to had an insight on how process is built, what is the current architecture and what are the main things I would be working on in this position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No tricky ones. Mostly general questions like "Tell about yourself" and about a current architecture.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PageUp (Melbourne) in Oct 2016
Interview
I found this opportunity though a recruiter so there was the usual phone chat then coffee catch up. After which the recruiter sent my resume to the client. I was then asked to perform a tech test. I spent about 6 hours completing the test and tweaking my code. I submitted a working solution backed by a suite of relevant unit tests and focussed on not over engineering the solution. Unfortunately the feedback from my test was that they liked my tests and generally my code but they the the thought my implementation was too simple! Simplicity was exactly what I was after! I understood what they wanted me to do and afterwards spent 30 mins tweaking my code to achieve it. Unfortunately they weren't interested in discussing further.

Thank you for providing us with this feedback. I am quite disappointed to hear about your experience, and whilst our team always strives to deliver our candidates a positive experience, it appears we can sometimes miss the mark. Our apologies that this was the case for you and I'll be taking a look at our processes to see where we can improve for the next time.
