(note that point3 federal seems to have changed their name to point3 security)
Overall, the process felt like a sham to get free testing from me. You are given access to their Escalate learning platform and then asked to complete "challenges" which include various security role playing tasks. I was told I had between 24 and 72 hours to complete the tasks, but then was later told I had 24 hours. Took a short day at work and looked at the challenges. I gave 6 hours on one task and didn't even make a dent (key logger below). I was told there would be a mentor available to help with any questions, but of the two people that responded neither were able to accomplish the task and one thought it was broken! Then they require that you give a writeup of your findings. Submitted that and was then asked if I want more time. I didn't want to give more time until I knew what I would even be doing at this company and why it appeared that I am exercising their software for free. I expressed these concerns, was thanked, and was told I can call in the afternoon. Gave a time, called, left a message, and no communication came back even the next day.
