Terrible. I had an interview for the full time analyst position in front office segments. I had already decided that I wanted to do the asset management track. As I went into my interview, my interviewer sits down and starts to interview me for the audit internship. I am not interviewing for audit nor an internship. So I corrected them. He then spent the rest of the interview trying to convince me why I need to do an audit internship to get my foot in the door and MAYBE do asset management one day. I say this humbly...I’ve interned in audit in the big 4. If that’s not enough to get me in the door then it’s not a door I want to go through anyway. I made it clear from the beginning that I had 0 interest in audit yet that’s what the conversation kept going back to. I found it quite unprofessional to spend an entire interview selling a position that someone didn’t apply for. It’s as if they were only prepared to interview for internships and they were only looking at my school for audit, which is disappointing. I was very turned off by this interview and I tell anyone who asks me this.
