I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PIMCO (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
After a telephone interview I was invited to superday which consisted of five 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 interviews. The questions were a good mix of behavioural/situational ones and technicals about investing/fixed income. It is definitely good to have an overview about the basic fixed income concepts, but the interview didn't go to super technical details like thorough understanding of fixed income derivatives. Overall I had a quite pleasant experience.
