I first had a screening interview with HR. She was pleasant and enthusiastic, gave me background on the company history, explained the growth of the company and why they were looking to add a graphic designer to the team. Within about a week of the screening, I was brought in for an in-person interview with the Marketing Manager.
He was also pleasant to interview with. He was quick and clear to explain what he was looking for, the projects I would potentially be working on, and his style of management. He also went on to talk about the company environment and company culture. All of which I found to be really important because not many companies are transparent about this.
Within 3 days of the in-person interview I received an offer. I accepted and all the on-boarding was done online. Very quick and simple.
The interview process was a breath of fresh air. While it included all the standard questions, it was obvious to me that they were interested in the potential I could bring to the team and not just the skill set I already had.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Both the HR Director and Marketing Manager asked me to provide an overview of my skill set as well as an overview as to my desire to become a designer. They also asked me about the type of company culture I thrive in the most.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PAXIO (Santa Clara, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
I found the interview process to be quite refreshing, as it was fairly easy compared to many other companies I've interviewed with. Typically the process can take several weeks, if not months.
Within 2 days of submitting my resume for the position, I was contacted by the hiring manager for a phone screening. After the initial phone screening, an in-person interview was quickly scheduled.
During the in-person interview, I met with both the hiring manager and the General Manager. My interactions with both individuals were very positive and I was excited about the opportunity.
Within about a week and half after my in-person interview, I was offered the position. I accepted and the HR on boarding process was really simple. The HR Director provided me an email with all the information needed to submit all the necessary paperwork online. It took no time at!
Overall, the experience was great!
