PACE-XL interview questions

Submitted application and was quickly sent message on LinkedIn for a "quick chat" which was an impromptu interview. I was told would hear back by mid point next week however at two weeks I had to chase for response. I was informed that this role had been offered to someone internally and that there was a job a pay grade below I could apply for, I expressed interest in this new position and was told would reach out to schedule interview however didn't hear anything - and this was months ago.
