The HR personnel sent a long WhatsApp text of how the interview process is like. She made it look professional but when I researched about their company, it looked dubious.
The interview did not start on time. The first round of interview was with the director but it was only 3 mins long. There I realised that everyone who gets hired will have to do sales first before reaching the position that they supposedly put out in job sites. Basically, there is no such position - whichever position you applied for. I confirmed this with the group of people I was put with, they all applied for various positions but are all doing sales.
Second round of interview was supposedly with a team leader, but it was no interview at all. I was caught off guard when I learnt I had to go out and follow one of their “top salesperson” to do a B2B sales. Later I learnt that they use a form of MLM method - giving new hires to one of the people so they can have a team of their own - and that it is no B2B sales. It’s just going to hardware, convenience and spa/massage shops to sell to whoever that was in the shop, someone that looks like they had a potential to buy. It was clearly mentioned during the sales pitch that they were not selling the products to the shops for the shops to sell it to their customers. So if you had interest in doing what they do, you pass your second round and can proceed to the final interview back at the office. I did not so that was the end.
The whole interview process with the director only took 3 mins - only 1 question was asked. Total waiting time at the office was one hour. Another 1.5 hour was for tagging along to watch them do the door to door sales. In text, HR mentioned that interview will take 4 hours (10am to 2pm) inclusive of final interview.
