I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Outback Steakhouse (Grand Rapids, MI) in Apr 2013
Interview
First you have an individual interview where they go over your resume, job history, etc. Then I had a group interview with three other interviewees and the proprietor, where we went over training processes and tests you have to take to be employed. After that you have four training days, each more involved than the last. Before you can start working you have to pass an extensive menu test.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Outback Steakhouse (Glen Mills, PA)
Interview
Two step process. Met with Front of house manager for interview then GM for final interview and was hired on spot. It was your typical interview with your typical interview questions
Awesome great people very friendly Woman came out and met me. She was super friendly. I brought a cheat sheet and she was actually pretty impressed. I was really nervous but she made me feel comfortable.
